After a successful workshop July 2017, Faye (Unravel & Unwind) and I decided we would like to improve our Tunisian skills. We found a gorgeous blanket by Carolyn Christmas, with 35 different blocks and have decided to make one each week.
Of course, the idea evolved (as all good ideas do) and it has turned into "Tunisian Tuesday CAL".
The idea is to make one block each week.
We are not making them in the order of the pattern, we are choosing them carefully to start with the easiest and to get a good combination of colours. Faye and I will make them in advance and share ours to tell you which block we have chosen.
If you would like to join in, you are most welcome. You can buy the pattern on Ravelry by Carolyn Christmas.
If you post pictures on social media, we would appreciate you tagging them with #TunisianTuesdayCAL so that we can find them.
Faye and I are using Stylecraft Special DK and a 5.00mm tunisian hook. We appreciate that this is not as stated in the pattern and that ours will turn out a little smaller than the stated finished size.
If you are joining in, you can find out more information on the Rainbow Valley Facebook page. Faye and I will be posting our blocks in the comments, along with notes we made while making the blocks. You can click on the weekly pictures below to go straight to the relevant post.
Please note that you do not need to be a Facebook member to view these posts and their comments.
If you are a Facebook member, you can have even more fun by joining the Rainbow Valley Facebook group. We would love to see you there.
